Program Philosophy

Our curriculum is built on the belief that all children are curious, capable, and eager to learn. We follow the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines to support each child's growth across all developmental domains—social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and creative.

Children exploring through hands-on play

Learning Through Play

We believe that playing is essential to learning. Through hands-on experiences, children explore, experiment, problem-solve, and build relationships. Our environment is rich with materials that encourage creativity, independence, and discovery.

Toddler and preschooler engaged in age-appropriate activities

Age-Appropriate Activities

  • Toddlers explore through movement, music, simple art, and language-rich interactions that support their growing independence.

  • Preschoolers engage in activities that support early literacy, math, science, and social development through imaginative play, group projects, and guided learning.

Diverse children in an inclusive classroom

Inclusive & Culturally Responsive

  • We celebrate and reflect the cultures and languages of the children in our care.

  • We provide materials and experiences that support dual language learners and create a welcoming, respectful environment for all.

  • We make accommodations and adaptations to support children with special needs, ensuring they are included in every part of our program.

Teacher guiding children in social and learning activities

Guiding Learning & Social Skills

  • Observing children's interests and using them to shape lessons and activities.

  • Encouraging exploration, asking open-ended questions, and modeling positive behavior.

  • Supporting social-emotional development by teaching empathy, self-regulation, and cooperation.

About Us

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for every child in our care — backed by the training, certifications, and programs that give families confidence and peace of mind.

Healthy nutritious food for children

Nutrition

Healthy food is fundamental to having happy, healthy children. To ensure the highest standard of nutrition for your child, we have chosen to participate in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Our menus are designed to meet the nutritional guidelines of this program and are verified by the City of Seattle Human Services Department, which sponsors the program in the greater Seattle area.

  • Fresh, Home-Cooked Meals: We prepare healthy, wholesome meals right here every day.

  • Daily Milk & Eggs: We provide milk and eggs every single day to support healthy growth.

  • A Different Meat Each Day: We rotate our proteins throughout the week to keep meals exciting, featuring lean meat, fish, and shrimp.

  • Fresh Fruits & Veggies: Meals are packed with lots of fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits.

  • Good Snacks: We provide wholesome, nutrient-dense snacks between meals to keep kids energized.

  • Reduced Sugar & Salt: All meals are prepared with lower sodium and limited added sugars to instill healthy habits.
